Between Territories
Between Territories brings together the work of queer Latin American women whose practices emerge from experiences of migration, displacement, and cultural hybridity. Positioned between places, languages, and identities, the exhibition examines how belonging is continuously negotiated across geographical, cultural,
and emotional territories.
Through collage, embroidery, and recycled acrylic, the participating artists engage with memory, transformation, and materiality as tools for reimagining identity. Each work reflects a personal yet collective narrative, where inherited histories intersect with contemporary experiences of movement and adaptation.
Rather than presenting borders as fixed boundaries, Between Territories understands them as sites of exchange, resilience, and possibility. Together, the
works create a space for dialogue, inviting viewers to consider the ways identity is shaped through transition, connection, and the continual act of becoming.
