Welcome to The Vitrine Project: 5 Vitrines, 5 Artists—a bold reimagining of how art integrates into everyday life, hosted at the iconic Groot Handelsgebouw (GHG) in Rotterdam. Curated by DAR Cultural Agency, this exhibition breathes new life into the monumental glass vitrines of GHG, offering an inspiring journey that bridges design, creativity, and community.
As part of this vibrant collaboration, I, Lua, am thrilled to showcase my work for A.K.A Tropicalia, alongside the creations of Cristal De La Cruz, Charlie Koolhaas, Said Belhadj, and Yoko Negi. Each artist transforms these historic vitrines—once a hallmark of Rotterdam’s bustling trade—into spaces where art becomes a lived experience.
Why Visit The Vitrine Project?
This is not your typical exhibition. Here, art isn’t confined to galleries; it’s woven into the fabric of daily life. From the 6th to the 2nd floor, the vitrines unfold as a captivating journey, inviting you to explore works that inspire, provoke, and transform.
Every piece is available for purchase, offering you the chance to bring a slice of this creative energy into your home or workspace. For a deeper dive, guided tours are available—just email info@dar.nu to arrange a personalized exploration of the exhibition.
